Meet Farmer Steph

Newsletter Week 1 F2TK-05-min

Stephanie McDonough

Stephanie McDonough—Farmer Steph—is a third-generation farmer, nationally recognized garden educator, curriculum creator, and founder of Farm to Table Kids (FTTK), an educational platform helping children discover what lights their hearts in nature through regenerative farming, farm-to-table cooking, and nature crafting.

The mission of Farm to Table Kids is simple yet powerful: to help children find their deep connection to the natural world—and discover how to shine as contributors to their communities. Whether through getting hands dirty with seedlings, weaving with natural materials, or cooking nourishing foods, FTTK encourages young learners to explore and amplify their gifts through nature-based learning.

Stephanie believes that life moves in seasons—and that one of the greatest gifts we can give children is a lifelong relationship with Nature. Nature offers a path back to balance and joy. Just like the seasons in the garden, life brings times of hardship and times of abundance—but through our connection with nature, we can always find our way back to balance, hope, and our best self.

In 2025, Farm to Table Kids proudly partnered with Mizzen Education to bring free, joyful, hands-on garden-based learning to educators and families nationwide. Through her lessons, Farmer Steph helps students grow not just plants, but confidence, resilience, creativity, and wonder.
